Something new is slowly taking shape at Rukararwe and it’s a work in progress we’re excited to share.
We are currently building seating benches around the compund to create welcoming spaces where you can sit down, relax, and fully enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Two benches have already been completed, with more to come soon.
These new seating areas are meant to invite you to pause for a moment — to listen to the sounds of nature, feel the fresh air, and take in the quiet beauty that surrounds Rukararwe. Whether you’re enjoying a morning coffee, reading a book, or simply resting, these spots are designed for calm and connection.
This project is kindly supported by our partnership with Germany, the Kronshagen–Bushenyi Partnership (KroBu), whose ongoing support helps us continue to improve and develop the grounds step by step.
In the near future, flower beds will be added around the benches to bring even more color and life to the landscape. While they are still in the planning stage, we are looking forward to seeing this area bloom.
